"TURNING YOUR HOPES INTO YOUR EXPECTATION IN GOD!"

Introduction To The Bible Study

Oftentimes even in our walk as believers in Christ Jesus, we can come into a challenging season were we allow our hopes and our expectations in god (which should always be extremely special to us), to become too common place.

It is in these times when we find ourselves asking God "Why don't I have those special exciting things happening in my life with You, like I use to have when I first began to know You?  And in these times you will find that God will answer "I still do the same things that I use to do, but the problem now is that . . . "YOU'VE GOTTEN USE TO IT!"

When we as believers in Christ Jesus learn to go back and change the way that we have been taught through the world's perspective of how we think about God, and become "transformed in the renewing of our minds" we will then discover that "GOD IS THE SAME GOD TODAY, THAT HE WAS YESTERDAY!"  And that, "HE IS STILL ABLE TO DO SOMETHING GOOD IN YOUR LIFE, EVERYDAY OF YOUR LIFE!"

Introduction Notes from Joyce Meyer's sermon: "Keep Your Hopes Up!"

A. Hope And Expectation

Hebrews 11:1 AMP.

1. Now faith is the (confident) assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things (we) hope for, being the proof of things (we) do not see and the conviction of their reality (faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses).

The word "hope" here is defined as "To desire with anticipation of fulfillment."  In connection with the definition of the word hope, the word "expectation" is defined as "The act of looking confidently for something good."

If we were to place these the definitions of these two words together in a spiritual reference, we could our hopes and expectations would be defined as "To desire with great anticipation of fulfillment by the act of looking forward with confidence for something good from God to happen!"

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV.

11. For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

To enhance the text, reading from "The Amplified Bible", the text reads . . .

Jeremiah 29:11 AMP.

11. For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare (well-being) and peace (reconciliation and agreement unto Me (God-The Father) through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ), and not evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

As believers in Christ Jesus, the process of renewing our minds to turn our hopes into our expectations in God begins with knowing and understanding what God is saying about us. This is accomplished through our studying and meditating on The Word of God, and then declaring what God has said and is saying about us out of our mouths!

God says that we are to be "confident in our hope" because His thoughts and plans for our lives as already "preordained!"  In other words, the blessings and favor that He has already spoken over our lives even before we were born are "immutable" which means "The Word of God That Has Created The Blessings And Favor of God For Our Lives Has Already Gone Forth Out Of His Mouth, And It Cannot Return Unto Him Void.  It Must Accomplish The Thing That God Has Already Willed It To To!'

It is in this that we as believers can now "Desire with great anticipation of fulfillment by the act of looking forward with confidence of something good from God happening in our lives today, tomorrow and everyday for the rest of our lives!"

By becoming transformed by the renewing of your mind by changing the way that you think about God, you can turn your hopes into your expectations in God because now, a clear connection is re-established with God through The Holy Spirit, and you will be able to once again clearly begin to hear God for yourself!

Remember that Satan wants to keep you confused so that you will stay focused on the evil things of your past (The things that The Blood of Jesus Christ Has already redeemed you from), so that he can keep you distracted from focusing on your "Something Good From God" that God has planned and purposed for your life for today, tomorrow and everyday for the rest of your life!

B. Great Expectations In God!

Psalm 27:14 AMP.

14. Wait and hope and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring (in the confidence that He Will do exactly what He said He would do).  Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord (to do something good today, tomorrow and everyday for the rest of your life!)

Isaiah 40:31 AMP.

31. But those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in Him with the confidence in Him that He is doing something good today, tomorrow and everyday of your life) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up close to the sun); they shall walk and not faint of become tired.

Great expectations in God simply means to the believer that "Everyday of our lives we are expecting something good from God!"  Great expectation in God means "To expect God to move in our lives, and to wait with confidence until He moves!"

It is not just in the waiting, but it is in the waiting with "patience" and "confidence" and "expectation in God" that produces that strength in the Lord that you need in your time (season) of waiting!

C. Living A Life Of Amazement!

"What amazing thing are you expecting God to do for you today?"  If you are full of hope and expectation in God, God will send The Holy Spirit to fill you with anticipation of the miracles and the overflow of blessings that He has planned and purposed for you life . . .TODAY, TOMORROW AND EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Once your connection with re-established and clear, you will find yourself waking up every morning with an expectation of "something good from God" happening in your life, and not something evil.
