"Launching Points To Power Evangelism!"

The Holy Scriptures are full of illustrations of divine appointments.  Probably the most familiar in The Life of Christ is the story of the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well (John 4:4-30).  After asking her for a drink of water, Jesus uses the "water" as a launching point to explain spiritual truths.

As the dialogue continued, it becomes apparent that the woman had little accurate knowledge of The True Nature of God.

Jesus said to the woman, "You have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband."  With this statement, Jesus caught her attention.  The woman replied, "Sir, I can see that you are a prophet"  that is, she then realized that Christ was a "seer" (someone who can see the unknown) - in this case, "her secret sins!"

After this, the woman did not resist what Christ was saying.  the result was that she "believed" Christ!  Through her testimony, a great revival started in the Samaritan community. She declared, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.  Could this be the Christ (the Messiah?) 

Through this divine appointment the Samaritan woman moved from "some knowledge of God" to "repentance", from "sin" and to "faith in Christ Jesus" all in a matter of minutes!
