"The Lord Bless Thee!"

,

A. A Benediction

,

Numbers 6:22-27

 22. And the Lord spake unto Moses saying,

 23. Speak unto Aaron and his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel,

 unto them,

 24. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:

 25. The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

 26. The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

 27. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

,

A benediction is: "The act of blessing by the invocation of God's Divine Favor upon a person." Invocation means: "To declare or, address as in prayer."

Here in this passage of scripture (commonly known as: The Priestly Prayer), found in Numbers 6:22-27, God instructs Moses to tell Aaron (The High Priest) and his sons (Of the tribe of the Levites) to "Bless the children of Israel" or to, invoke the Divine Favor of God upon them!

Note that this is to be done in a "3-fold repetition" with "the lifting up of hands" by the High Priest. This Priestly Blessing is invoked upon God's people in three parts to represent The Divine Order of the Godhead in its fullness as God-The Father, God-The Son and God-The Holy Spirit.

* Deuteronomy 6:4 says, "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord." From the original Hebrew language, the word one means: "A compound one, a plural one, one made up of several."

The entitlement of God as "The Lord" as it appears in verse 24, "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee" speaks of God-The Father or, "Elohim" (The Almighty and Eternal One). This entitlement as it applies to this priestly prayer denotes God-The Father as The Creator of all thing and also indicates His ownership and relationship to all His peoples and creatures.

The entitlement of God as "The Lord" as it appears in verse 25, "The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee" speaks of God-The Son or, Jehovah-Christ (The Pre-Existing Image and Representation of the Eternal God) or as written in Hebrews 1:3, "The express image of His Person."

There are many accounts of "Jehovah-Christ" (God-The Son) found in both the Old and New Testaments of The Holy Bible:

* It was Jehovah-Christ (God-The Son) who called out to Adam in the Garden of Eden

* It was Jehovah-Christ (God-The Son) who appeared to Abraham

* It was Jehovah-Christ (God-The Son) who was with Moses and the Children of Israel in the wilderness

* It was Jehovah-Christ (God-The Son) whose voice shook the earth and was heard by all Israel

* It was Jehovah-Christ (God-The Son) who was the "I AM that I AM" of the Old Testament, and THE WORD (Jesus Christ) that became flesh in the New Testament.

The entitlement of God as "The Lord" as it appears in verse 26, "The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace" speaks of God-The Holy Spirit (The Personage of The Power of God).

The Holy Spirit is a Personage of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is not something that is nebulous, cloudy or, indistinct, just as God-The Father and God-The Son, He has a form and image.

* HE dwelleth with you, and in you

* HE shall teach you all things

* HE shall witness of Me, saith the Lord

* HE shall guide you into all truth

* HE shall show you things to come

* HE shall bring you peace and comfort

* HE shall glorify God through Christ Jesus

,

B. "I Will Bless Them!"

,

Numbers 6:27

 27. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

,

The pretense "I Will" in this 27th verse appears to make the statement of something that God is "going to do" however, in the original Hebrew language, there is no "future tense expression" for the word "bless or, blessed."

In the original Hebrew language when using the expression "bless" or, "blessed" the expression could only be applied to events that happened in the past or, currently happening in the present. Or in other words, the use of this expression meant that "God has blessed you" or, "God is blessing you!"

The expression "God will bless you" (when spoken in the future tense) has no reference because of the fact that anytime that you find in the Word of God where God says that you are blessed, it means that He has already spoken a covenant word (A promise that establishes a relationship that cannot be broken) upon your life that can never fail! This means that from the moment that he spoke it out of His mouth, till the moment that you received it into your spirit, that you are blessed then, now and forever into your future!

,

C. The Blessing Is Ceaseless!

,

Malachi 3:10

 10. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

,

God says, ". . . Prove Me now by it, . . . if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:10 Amp.) In other words, God is saying that He is going to "pour out a continuous flow of Divine Favor" into your life, so much that you won't have enough room to receive it because it will be "To the fullness, To the increase, Till the Overflow!"

,

D. "I'm Blessed, Because God Says I'm Blessed!"

,

Hebrews 6:18 (Amp.)

 18. This was so that, by two immutable things "unchangeable things" (I AM and I Will, His Promise and His Oath) in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled (to Him) for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before (us).

It is because of the immutability of God (The I AM, The I WILL, His Promise and His Oath) that every word that comes out of His mouth is established in the earth forever!

God say's in Numbers 6:27"And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them!" You are blessed because, GOD'S NAME IS ON YOU! The blessing of favor that God has placed upon your life is "continuous" because His Word is "immutable" (unchangeable). Everything that God has already said about you is already yours. I'M BLESSED, BECAUSE GOD SAY'S I'M BLESSED!
